Dusting Tip #33: Thanks Mom, another homegrown...
Here is a recipe for Dust Cloths, I found in a cookbook called "Where's Mom Now That I Need Her".
Dusting Cloths
1 Tablespoon mild soap powder
1 quart warm water
1 Tablespoon ammonia
2 Tablespoons boiled linseed oil or a good furniture polish
Mix ingredients well. Dip soft, cotton cloths (cloth diapers are ideal) into the solution. After a few minutes squeeze out, dry and store in covered glass, plastic or tin container. Treat cloths after each washing.
