Dusting Tip #4: Cutting down on dust
The best way to minimize dust is to have your duct work cleaned, and use air filters on your vents. You will be surprised how much dust and hair they collect.
It is important to use a good vacuum cleaner, rather than sweeping which often just redistributes the dust. Also, when dusting furniture, etc. do not use a feather duster, which just blows around the dust as well, but rather, use a cloth sprayed with dusting spray. Also, be sure to wash curtains and bedding on a very regular basis.
