Dusting Tip #2: Dusting fabric lamp shades
Cloth lampshades that are made from a washable fabric and are sewn, not glued, can be washed, as long as they do not have a paper or plastic liner.
Un-washable shades can be vacuumed or blown with a hairdryer (better do this outside) to remove the dust. You should be able to sponge wash them with cool water, or you can use a kneadable wallpaper cleaner to clean stains.
